Natural stone mosaic tile is a long-term investment. The right cleaner and sealer protect that investment from day one. Every product in this collection is specifically chosen for use with natural stone and marble mosaic tile — pH-neutral, non-abrasive, and formulated to preserve the appearance and integrity of the stone without compromising its surface. We carry what we recommend and we recommend what works.

The FILA Natural Stone Neutral Cleaner is a pH-neutral formula designed for routine maintenance of natural stone surfaces including marble, dolomite, and mother of pearl. Safe for daily use, it removes dirt, soap scum, and mineral deposits without etching or dulling the stone surface. The STAIN-PROOF Premium Impregnating Sealer is a penetrating sealer that bonds below the surface of the stone to protect against staining and moisture penetration without changing the appearance or finish of the tile. Both are recommended for use with every natural stone mosaic tile in our collection. Samples of every mosaic are available in the full collection before you commit to a full order.

Do I need to seal natural stone mosaic tile?

Yes. All natural stone including marble, dolomite, and limestone is porous and requires sealing before and after installation to protect against staining and moisture penetration. Sealing is particularly important in wet environments such as shower floors, shower walls, and kitchen backsplashes where the stone is exposed to water, soap, and cooking grease regularly. We recommend the STAIN-PROOF Premium Impregnating Sealer for all natural stone mosaic tile installations.

What is the difference between the cleaner and the sealer?

The cleaner and the sealer serve completely different purposes. The FILA Natural Stone Neutral Cleaner is a maintenance product used for routine cleaning of installed stone surfaces. It removes dirt, soap scum, and mineral deposits safely without damaging the stone or its finish. The STAIN-PROOF Premium Impregnating Sealer is a protection product applied before and after installation to bond below the surface of the stone and prevent staining and moisture from penetrating. You need both — the sealer protects the stone, the cleaner maintains it.

How often should I reseal natural stone mosaic tile?

Resealing annually is recommended for most natural stone mosaic tile applications. Shower floors and shower walls benefit from more frequent resealing given their daily exposure to water and soap. Kitchen backsplashes and fireplace surrounds can typically go one to two years between resealing depending on use. Room floors and accent walls require the least frequent resealing. The easiest way to test whether your stone needs resealing is to place a few drops of water on the surface. If the water beads, the sealer is still active. If it absorbs, it is time to reseal.
