Every piece in the natural stone mosaic tile collection is genuine material — not porcelain, not ceramic, not a manufactured stone-look product. Marble varieties include Calacatta Gold, Calacatta Bluette, Carrara, Bianco Dolomite, white Thassos, Zebrino, and Azul Cielo. Mother of pearl mosaics pair genuine shell and nacre with white Thassos marble. Natural stone varies from sheet to sheet and seeing the material in your space and lighting conditions is the most reliable way to make a confident decision. The collection is available in honed, polished, and leathered finishes. Honed produces a matte, velvety surface suited for floors and wet areas. Polished produces a reflective, luminous surface that enhances veining and depth, suited for walls and backsplashes. Leathered has a subtle tactile texture that adds depth without the full reflectivity of a polished surface. Some products combine multiple finishes on the same sheet.
Resealing annually is recommended for most natural stone mosaic tile applications. Shower floors and shower walls benefit from more frequent resealing given their daily exposure to water and soap. Kitchen backsplashes and fireplace surrounds can typically go one to two years between resealing depending on use. Room floors and accent walls require the least frequent resealing. The easiest way to test whether your stone needs resealing is to place a few drops of water on the surface. If the water beads, the sealer is still active. If it absorbs, it is time to reseal.
